Sunday, April 29, 2001
Guests arriving from the U.S. and other international locations will fly into Shannon
International Airport and be met by your hosts from Golf Link Travel for the quick
transfer to your deluxe accommodations at the Killarney Park Hotel, rated as the top hotel
in all of Ireland in 1997 and 1998. All transfers for the duration of the trip will be on
luxury motorcoaches. Your first day on the Emerald Isle will indeed be memorable, as the
trip immediately finds you testing yours skills on the Killeen course at the Killarney
Golf and Fishing Club. Your views while approaching these plush greens will be of lakes
and the picturesque Macgillycuddys Reeks, so make sure you keep your head down on
the ball and follow through on your shots!
Monday, April 30, 2001
You visit Arnold Palmers first European endeavor today on a course compared by many
to Pebble Beach and Turnberry, the dramatic Tralee Golf Club. Ocean spray will rattle your
nerves on the tees, while the background panorama encompasses not one but three mountains
Kerry Head, Mount Brendan and Slieve Mish. Take some time after your round to enjoy
a pint or two from the upstairs window of the clubhouse, which offers one of the best
vistas in all of links golf.
Tuesday, May 1, 2001
Waterville awaits you on the third day of your Irish excursion. Sam Snead once said of
Waterville, "A beautiful monster is born," while Gary Player was quoted as
describing his experience at Waterville as "majestic golf in a majestic
setting." Some consider the 11th hole, a par 5, to be among the most beautiful in all
of golf.
Wednesday, May 2, 2001
The Old Course at Ballybunion is the supreme test of all Irish golf. Today you have your
chance to lay claim to having played one of the top courses in the entire world on a
course considered by many to be the best ever built. Rated among the top ten anywhere by
most publications, Ballybunion offers some of the most striking scenery you will find on a
links course. Bring plenty of balls!
Thursday, May 3, 2001
Check out of the Killarney Park Hotel and make the return trip to Shannon Airport by
motorcoach for your flight home.
