The house, built in 1880, is on the Cedar Key historical district walking tour. It was built by the Eagle Cedar
Mill entirely of native yellow pine as an employee and guest house. Later it was operated as a boarding house
by the daughter of David Levy Yulee. Prominent in the history of Florida, David Levy Yulee was one of
Florida's first U.S. Senators and for whom this county was named. Purchased by B.C. Wadley in 1919, the
house remained in the same family until 1991. Lovingly and painstakingly restored, the home once again is
offering gracious accommodations as a bed and breakfast. It is located within walking distance of all the unique
shops as well as the "Dock" and Fishing Pier.
The Florida House Inn offers you a charming escape from a hectic, hurry-up world.
